Dallas Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Practice Group

Practice Group Update (2023)

Due to my schedule, the practice group has not met since the summer of 2019. There currently are no plans to resume the practice group. I might offer workshops next year. I do work with people individually, so if you are interested in individual work, you can contact me on my Socio-Logic website here.

As of 2019, the Dallas Compassionate Communication Practice Group has been meeting for almost 9 years on a weekly basis. The group is intended as a place for people to deepen their NVC practice and meet like-minded people (Compassionate Communication is another name for NVC).

The group has been organized and maintained by H. Scott Clemente since August of 2010, who also serves as the principal facilitator. John Asselin also serves as a facilitator for the group and his presence has contributed to the sustainability of the group in recent years. The group was originally founded by Taylor Duvall in July of 2010, and Taylor turned over care of the group to Scott when she left the group in August of 2010

The practice group meets every Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:30p, in the Lake Highlands area near LBJ & Walnut Hill. The group provides an opportunity for you to interact with others using NVC and learn through receiving feedback. Membership is open to new members. If you are interested in attending, please go to the Facebook page (here) and find the Facebook event to RSVP.

At each meeting, a contribution of $5 - 20 is requested to support keeping the space open for the group. We welcome you whether you are able to to financially contribute or not.
