J has been studying, practicing and supporting the growth of Nonviolent Communication (NVC, Compassionate Communication) since the spring of 2004.

In the fall of 2008, J collaborated in teaching a combined art-and-Compassionate Communication pilot program for Meadowbrook Middle School in Fort Worth, and in 2009, he led an “Introduction to Compassionate Communication” in-service training for all Fort Worth ISD elementary school art teachers.

He has studied directly with of Nonviolent Communication founder Marshall Rosenberg in Texas and New Mexico, as well as a number of other trainers from the U.S. and Europe, including Center for Nonviolent Communication training team leader John Kinyon, and he assists in the yearlong Heartland NVC Mediation program in Kansas City, as well as other trainings.

J has facilitated numerous NVC classes, workshops and practice groups in schools, churches, homes and wellness facilities for adults, teachers and students, and he also offers NVC mediation to individuals and groups seeking compassionate resolution to conflict.
